description

@enmaso/node-convert through 1.0.0 is affected by OS command injection in its image conversion handling. An attacker may run commands with the Node.js process's permissions if they can control file-path or conversion-target input supplied to the package.

mitigation

Do not pass untrusted file paths or conversion targets to the affected package; enforce strict allowlists and run the conversion process with minimal permissions. No corrected release is recorded, so replace or isolate the component if untrusted conversion requests must be supported.

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
