description

SureCart for WordPress versions through 4.9.4 are affected by stored cross-site scripting in comment handling. An unauthenticated attacker may cause browser-executed script to be stored and later run for visitors when an accepted comment is displayed on a page loading SureCart components. The comment must be automatically accepted or moderator-approved.

mitigation

Disable or tightly moderate comment submission and remove automatically approved comments from pages that load SureCart components. Update SureCart when the vendor provides a release that addresses versions through 4.9.4.
