description

generator-jhipster versions before 9.4.0 can generate reactive WebFlux/R2DBC SQL applications whose paginated entity-list sorting is vulnerable to SQL injection. An authenticated user can access or alter database data when the generated application exposes affected list endpoints.

mitigation

Upgrade generator-jhipster to version 9.4.0 or later, then regenerate and redeploy affected reactive SQL applications. Until redeployment, restrict access to affected paginated entity-list endpoints and enforce an allowlist for sort fields.

fixed in 9.4.0
