description

Applications generated with affected JHipster packages can retain untrusted Blob content types and later open the associated file in the application origin. An authenticated user with write access to a Blob-bearing entity may target a more privileged user who opens that file; impact depends on the deployment's CSP and browser behavior.

mitigation

Upgrade generator-jhipster to 9.4.0 or later and react-jhipster to 1.1.0 or later, then regenerate or update affected generated code. Until updated, restrict writes to Blob-bearing entities and allow only validated, non-active file types.

fixed in 9.4.0, 1.1.0
