CVE-2026-107219
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-jrfj-fhj2-jjvm ↗EUVD-2026-94549 ↗
description
Excelize versions through 2.11.0 can perform excessive password-key derivation work when opening a workbook with attacker-controlled encryption metadata. An attacker who can cause the application to open an untrusted spreadsheet can consume CPU for a prolonged period, affecting availability.
mitigation
Upgrade github.com/xuri/excelize/v2 to 2.11.1-0.20260906004932-2badfcd5841d or later. Until upgraded, do not process spreadsheets from untrusted sources and isolate or limit resources for file-processing workloads.
fixed in 2.11.1-0.20260906004932-2badfcd5841d
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
