description

ELADMIN 2.7 and earlier does not adequately restrict its user password-reset API. A logged-in user, regardless of assigned role, can change passwords for other accounts and potentially take over an administrator account. Exploitation requires valid authentication to the affected application.

mitigation

Restrict or disable access to the password-reset API until authorization checks are enforced, allowing only appropriately privileged administrators to reset other users' passwords. Limit application access to trusted users and networks; no fixed version is recorded.
