description

SixLabors.ImageSharp 2.0.0 through 4.1.1 mishandles buffer sizing while producing narrow, 1-bit TIFF images with CCITT Group 3 compression. An attacker able to influence an encode or TIFF re-encode operation that reaches this mode may cause memory corruption and a process crash.

mitigation

Upgrade the NuGet package SixLabors.ImageSharp to version 4.1.2 or later. Until upgraded, avoid CCITT Group 3 compression for 1-bit TIFF output and avoid re-encoding untrusted TIFFs with inherited encoder metadata.

fixed in 4.1.2
