description

Mooncake Store master through 0.3.13.post1 permits unauthenticated eviction of disk replicas. An attacker with network access to the coro_rpc master port could remove replicas across tenants and cause loss of objects whose only remaining copy is on disk.

mitigation

Restrict access to the coro_rpc master port to trusted, authenticated network paths and isolate it from untrusted clients. Maintain recoverable backups or additional replicas for important data, and apply a vendor update when a fixed release is published.
