description

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 systems using spice-server or spice are affected by an integer truncation in GLZ dictionary restore handling. An authenticated SPICE client may cause heap memory corruption during VM live migration.

mitigation

Restrict SPICE access to trusted, authenticated users and avoid live migration where practical until a vendor update is available. Monitor Red Hat updates for spice-server and spice, and apply the supplied fix when released.
