description

Payload deployments using local authentication are affected before 3.90.0 when no initial user account has been established. An unauthenticated attacker could abuse the initial-registration endpoint to execute code on the server.

mitigation

Upgrade payload to 3.90.0 or later, or to 4.0.0-canary.34 or later on the canary release line. Until upgraded, restrict access to the initial-registration endpoint and create the first user promptly.

fixed in 3.90.0, 4.0.0-canary.34
