CVE-2026-105689
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-wxgm-8qjw-x445 ↗EUVD-2026-92707 ↗
description
Penpot versions through 2.17.0 can mishandle IPv6 transition addresses during outbound URL validation. An authenticated user with media-import access, or an administrator configuring webhooks, may cause the server to contact otherwise restricted internal or metadata services when the required network translation or DNS conditions exist.
mitigation
Upgrade Penpot to version 2.18.0 or later. Until upgraded, restrict the application’s outbound network access to approved destinations and block access to internal and metadata address ranges.
fixed in 2.18.0
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
