CVE-2026-105661
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-c3cr-qq9g-666c ↗EUVD-2026-103984 ↗
description
Gitea is affected when its repository route is requested for an individual user. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly cause server panics and HTTP 500 responses, potentially impairing service availability; no special configuration is needed.
mitigation
Restrict unauthenticated access to the affected repository route through a reverse proxy or equivalent control, and monitor for repeated malformed route requests. Apply Gitea’s vendor update when a fixed release is identified.
fixed in 28.2.0
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
