CVE-2026-105312

description
StreamsHub Console for Apache Kafka is affected when its operator runs a tenant-selected API container image using a Kubernetes service account with excessive cluster-wide permissions. A tenant permitted to create Console resources can use the resulting workload credentials to read and alter Strimzi control-plane resources across tenant boundaries.
mitigation
Upgrade console to 0.12.10 or 0.14.2, as appropriate for the deployed release line. Restrict creation of Console resources and disallow untrusted API image values; reduce the operator service account's cluster-wide permissions where operationally feasible.
fixed in 0.12.10, 0.14.2
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
