description

NextChat through version 2.16.1 is affected by a server-side request forgery issue in its proxy fallback handler. A remote attacker may cause the application server to issue requests to attacker-influenced destinations when the affected proxy functionality is reachable.

mitigation

Restrict access to the proxy fallback endpoint and limit the application's outbound network access to approved destinations. Apply an upstream patched release once one is published; the evidence does not identify a fixed version.

Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
