CVE-2026-105123
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-r3hg-hgx7-58g9 ↗EUVD-2026-92043 ↗
description
wcms through 3.18.0 does not adequately validate paths in its media upload API. An authenticated editor can write or delete arbitrary files, potentially leading to server-side code execution when uploaded files are handled by the web server. Exploitation requires editor-level authentication.
mitigation
Upgrade to a vendor release that corrects the media upload path validation when one is available; no fixed version is recorded in the advisory. Until then, restrict editor access and prevent the web server from executing uploaded media files.
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
