description

Tinypool versions before 2.1.1 can forward prototype-inherited worker settings when creating Node.js worker threads. An attacker who can first pollute Object.prototype may cause newly created workers to execute attacker-selected JavaScript with the host process privileges.

mitigation

Upgrade the npm package tinypool to version 2.1.1 or later. Until upgraded, prevent prototype-pollution flaws from reaching the application and restrict untrusted dependency or input processing.

fixed in 2.1.1
