description

Advanced Form Integration for WordPress through version 2.9.0 can allow unauthenticated requests to change WordPress account passwords, potentially including administrator accounts. Exposure requires a public Contact Form 7 integration configured to use the Ultimate Member profile-update action with attacker-influenced field mappings.

mitigation

Disable or remove public Contact Form 7 integrations that invoke the Ultimate Member profile-update action, especially those accepting user-controlled account fields. Restrict access to affected forms and review WordPress account passwords and administrator accounts for unauthorized changes.
