description

Groundhogg for WordPress versions through 4.9 do not adequately authorize changes to a contact's linked WordPress account. An authenticated user with contact-editing and note permissions may obtain administrator-level access; sales_rep-level access can meet these conditions.

mitigation

Restrict or remove contact-editing and note-related permissions from untrusted Groundhogg users, especially sales_rep-level accounts, or disable the plugin where this is not feasible. Monitor for a vendor update and apply a confirmed fixed release when available.
