description

libosmocore versions through 1.14.1 are affected by an out-of-bounds read while processing CBSP WRITE-REPLACE messages. A remote attacker may cause denial of service where they can reach an exposed service that processes this traffic.

mitigation

Restrict network access to services that accept CBSP traffic to trusted peers until an upstream update is available. Apply a vendor-provided fixed release when one is published.

automationDeterministic: a check that runs on its own, the same request on every target. Contextual: an agentic technique that needs to be applied per target, for bugs that depend on contextual flows.
