description

Fastcache by Host.it for WordPress through version 1.7.4 allows code injection through its cache-cookie exclusion setting. An authenticated WordPress administrator can alter Apache .htaccess directives, potentially changing server behavior or causing code to run. Lower-privileged WordPress roles are not affected by this attack path.

mitigation

Disable or remove Fastcache by Host.it on affected sites until a corrected release is available. Restrict WordPress administrator access and monitor .htaccess files for unexpected changes.
