CVE-2026-103603
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-gpr4-c479-xrw4 ↗EUVD-2026-91233 ↗
description
bc-csharp versions earlier than 2.7.0 can allocate excessive memory while processing HSS/LMS public keys and signatures. An unauthenticated attacker may cause a denial of service if they can provide both a public key and signature to a verification operation.
mitigation
Upgrade bc-csharp to version 2.7.0 or later. Until upgraded, restrict verification endpoints to trusted sources and reject untrusted HSS/LMS key and signature inputs.
fixed in 2.7.0
outcome
Mechanism verified: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one, but the server it ran against was ours, so no check ships for it.
source signals
Public signals that triggered or updated the pipeline. These are inputs for the deltas above.
