CVE-2026-102941
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-cv23-7vc5-jfh7 ↗EUVD-2026-102934 ↗
description
Versions of github.com/gomarkdown/markdown before 0.0.0-20260724235538-61af6e1e6971 can panic while validating a short link destination. An attacker can cause a denial of service when untrusted Markdown is rendered with html.Safelink enabled, or when an application passes attacker-controlled short URLs to parser.IsSafeURL.
mitigation
Upgrade github.com/gomarkdown/markdown to 0.0.0-20260724235538-61af6e1e6971 or later. Until upgraded, reject empty and very short untrusted URL values before calling parser.IsSafeURL or rendering with html.Safelink.
fixed in 0.0.0-20260724235538-61af6e1e6971
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
