description

BeyondTrust Remote Support contains internal messaging components that may accept messages without adequately confirming their source. A remote unauthenticated attacker could cause file operations on an affected appliance if they can reach the relevant messaging path and the unspecified conditions for exploitation are met.

mitigation

Restrict network access to Remote Support appliances to required trusted systems and segment them from untrusted networks; monitor appliances for unexpected file activity. Apply the vendor-provided update when available; no fixed version is recorded in the supplied advisory data.

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
