description

Burrito releases before 0.13.0 can accept forged GitHub or GitLab webhook events if a tracked repository has no webhook secret or an empty one. An attacker able to reach the Burrito server and identify a tracked repository can create or remove TerraformPullRequest resources and trigger unauthorized Terraform plans, potentially exposing results through pull-request comments.

mitigation

Upgrade burrito to version 0.13.0 or later. Configure a non-empty webhook secret for every tracked repository and restrict access to the Burrito webhook endpoint.

fixed in 0.13.0
