description

NTPsec ntpd versions 1.1.4 through 1.2.5 are affected by an out-of-bounds read while handling NTS extension fields. A remote attacker can crash the daemon if it processes malformed AEEF data containing an oversized nonce-length value.

mitigation

Upgrade ntpsec to version 1.2.6 or later.

fixed in 1.2.6
