description

Angular SSR applications using affected @angular/platform-server releases can loop indefinitely while parsing certain malformed attacker-controlled HTML. An unauthenticated remote attacker can consume a Node.js SSR worker's CPU and prevent it from serving requests when untrusted input reaches a server-side HTML parsing path, such as a raw HTML binding.

mitigation

Upgrade @angular/platform-server to 20.3.31, 21.2.23, or 22.1.6, as appropriate for the supported release line. Until upgraded, do not pass untrusted input through server-side raw HTML bindings; render it as text or reject malformed DOCTYPE input.

fixed in 22.1.6, 21.2.23, 20.3.31, End of Support / LTS expired, will not be patched
