description

iperf3 3.21 has a heap use-after-free in its server-side test handling. An unauthenticated remote client can trigger the flaw when it can connect to an affected iperf3 server.

mitigation

Upgrade iperf3 to version 3.22 or later. Until upgraded, restrict network access to iperf3 server instances to trusted clients.

fixed in 3.22
