CVE-2026-100153
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-w49v-rw6m-8pg6 ↗EUVD-2026-100801 ↗
description
NewStatPress for WordPress through version 1.4.5 is affected by stored cross-site scripting. An unauthenticated attacker may cause script content to run in a visitor's browser when they view an affected page. Exposure requires a publicly viewable page using the Top Pages shortcode and attacker-controlled request data being included in its ranking.
mitigation
Update NewStatPress to a version later than 1.4.5 if one is available from the plugin maintainer. Until then, remove the Top Pages shortcode from publicly accessible pages or restrict access to those pages.
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
