description

PAN-OS management interfaces on PA-Series and VM-Series firewalls and Panorama deployments are affected. An attacker with valid credentials and network access to the management interface may execute code with root-level privileges.

mitigation

Upgrade PAN-OS to 12.2.4, 12.1.10-h2, 11.2.16, 11.1.16-h3, or 10.2.18-h12, as appropriate for the deployed release. Restrict management-interface access to trusted internal IP addresses.

fixed in 12.2.4, 12.1.10-h2, 11.2.16, 11.1.16-h3, 10.2.18-h12

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
