description

FFmpeg build N-119856-gbe46370941 is affected by a null pointer dereference during H.264 media handling. An attacker may disrupt service by supplying media that triggers the fault when the affected build processes it.

mitigation

Replace the affected FFmpeg build with a vendor-supported build that includes the correction when one is identified. Until then, restrict processing of untrusted media and isolate FFmpeg-backed media processing services.

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
