description
Affected WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, API Manager, Open Banking, Identity Server, and Carbon User Core releases inadequately validate JDBC user-store configuration input in the Management Console. An attacker able to submit that configuration input may execute code using the privileges of the affected WSO2 product.
mitigation
Upgrade deployed products to the applicable fixed release: Enterprise Integrator 6.6.0.204; API Manager 3.1.0.275, 3.2.0.365, 3.2.1.19, 4.0.0.308, 4.1.0.170, 4.2.0.107, or 4.3.0.21; Open Banking AM 2.0.0.325; Open Banking IAM 2.0.0.345; Identity Server as Key Manager 5.10.0.292; or Identity Server 5.10.0.296, 5.11.0.336, 6.0.0.188, 6.1.0.148, or 7.0.0.15. Update org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.user.core to 4.5.0.4, 4.5.3.34, 4.6.0.141, 4.6.1.108, 4.6.2.610, 4.6.3.23, 4.6.4.5, 4.7.1.51, 4.8.1.23, 4.9.0.54, 4.9.26.13, or 4.10.9.10 as appropriate for the maintained branch.
fixed in 6.6.0.204, 3.1.0.275, 3.2.0.365, 3.2.1.19, 4.0.0.308, 4.1.0.170, 4.2.0.107, 4.3.0.21, 2.0.0.325, 2.0.0.345, 5.10.0.292, 5.10.0.296, 5.11.0.336, 6.0.0.188, 6.1.0.148, 7.0.0.15, 4.5.0.4, 4.5.3.34, 4.6.0.141, 4.6.1.108, 4.6.2.610, 4.6.3.23, 4.6.4.5, 4.7.1.51, 4.8.1.23, 4.9.0.54, 4.9.26.13, 4.10.9.10
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
