description

tari_validator_node and related state-sync packages can batch valid state updates into a response larger than the RPC frame limit. An unprivileged user able to submit a fee-paying transaction can create committed state that a joining node cannot obtain through normal state synchronization.

mitigation

Apply an upstream update that bounds state-sync batches by encoded response size; no fixed release is recorded. Until then, restrict untrusted transaction submission where possible and monitor node joins for state-sync failures.

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
