description

Dalli clients configured with a namespace can target an incorrectly namespaced cache key after a transient network error triggers a retry. This can return data from an unintended key or write to and overwrite an unintended key; exposure requires namespace use and a retry-causing connection failure.

mitigation

Upgrade Dalli to 4.3.7, 5.0.10, 5.1.4, or 5.2.2, as appropriate for the deployed release line. Until upgraded, disable namespace use where feasible and reduce exposure to transient cache connection failures.

fixed in 4.3.7, 5.0.10, 5.1.4, 5.2.2
