description

Self-hosted trigger.dev v4 deployments using the supplied Docker Compose example secrets are affected. An unauthenticated attacker may gain application access and compromise connected infrastructure when default secrets remain in place, particularly where account allowlisting is not configured.

mitigation

Upgrade trigger.dev to version 4.5.6 or later. Replace all example secrets and infrastructure credentials, revoke existing sessions and tokens, and restrict access between runner and infrastructure networks.

fixed in 4.5.6
