description

The filebrowser backend can serve content outside a configured source boundary after resolving symbolic links. An authorized file user, or a person holding a public-share link, may access service-readable files beyond that boundary if the exposed directory includes a link to an external target.

mitigation

Upgrade github.com/gtsteffaniak/filebrowser/backend to >= 1.5.2-stable, >= 2.0.1-beta or later.

fixed in >= 1.5.2-stable, >= 2.0.1-beta
