description

Linkind Matter Smart Plug firmware 1.01.32 has a buffer overflow in its handling of an SSDP header. An attacker able to send SSDP traffic to the device may trigger the flaw; the available evidence does not confirm the resulting impact.

mitigation

Restrict SSDP traffic to trusted local networks and prevent untrusted devices from reaching the plug's SSDP service. Check with the vendor for updated firmware and apply it when available.

outcome

Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
