description

NLnet Labs Unbound versions 1.22.0 through 1.26.1 are affected in multi-threaded deployments that provide DNS-over-QUIC. A remote DoQ client may cause the resolver to crash by triggering a connection path change while a response remains pending.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade Unbound to 1.26.2 or later.

fixed in 1.26.2
