ETK-2026-2178Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
Parse Server deployments with afterSave triggers on classes containing pointer fields are affected. An attacker able to submit an object update to such a class can terminate the server process; no authentication is required when the targeted object is writable without a session.
mitigation
Upgrade affected 8.x deployments to 8.6.110 and affected 9.x deployments to 9.10.6-alpha.2. Until upgraded, reject dot-notation updates targeting pointer identifiers in a beforeSave trigger, or remove affected afterSave triggers.
fixed in 9.10.6-alpha.2, 8.6.110
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
