ETK-2026-1958Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.description
openvc-core versions before 1.30.2 can accept altered JSON-LD credentials when using the affected RDF Data Integrity cryptosuites. An attacker able to supply or relay such a credential may change unsigned JSON-level identity, status, validity, or claim data while retaining a valid signature.
mitigation
Upgrade openvc-core to version 1.30.2 or later. Until upgrading, avoid the affected RDF Data Integrity suites and restrict accepted credentials to JCS-based suites where possible.
fixed in 1.30.2
outcome
Mechanism verified: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one, but the server it ran against was ours, so no check ships for it.
