description

Frigate releases before 0.18.2 fail to enforce intended restrictions on certain go2rtc WebSocket endpoints. An authenticated account, including a default viewer-role account, can cause command execution as root inside the Frigate container. Attackers need valid Frigate credentials.

mitigation

Upgrade blakeblackshear/frigate to >=0.18.2 or later.

fixed in >=0.18.2

automationDeterministic: a check that runs on its own, the same request on every target. Contextual: an agentic technique that needs to be applied per target, for bugs that depend on contextual flows.
deterministic
auth requiredWhether an attacker needs an account first, based on the CVSS vector's Privileges Required.
yes, low privileges

Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
