ETK-2026-1269Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
pyLoad's legacy user-data API endpoints have a confirmed authorization flaw in the 0.5.0b3.dev line. A low-privilege authenticated user can test administrator credentials and, on success, gain administrator access and obtain account metadata; a valid authenticated session is required.
mitigation
Remove the legacy getUserData and get_userdata endpoints or limit them to administrators, and add per-account failed-authentication throttling or lockout. Configure API rate limiting to rely on the direct client address unless requests traverse an explicitly trusted proxy; no fixed release is recorded.
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
