description

Traefik can retain an NTLM or Kerberos/Negotiate-authenticated backend connection in a shared pool. A separate unauthenticated client may then be served over that connection and gain the prior client's backend access. Exposure requires connection reuse with a connection-bound authenticated backend and a client that preauthenticates on its first request.

mitigation

Upgrade Traefik to v2.11.58 or v3.7.14. Until upgraded, reduce exposure by disabling connection reuse for backends using NTLM or Kerberos/Negotiate authentication.

fixed in v2.11.58, v3.7.14

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
