ETK-2026-1072Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
@rsdoctor/utils versions before 1.6.5 do not safely validate port values supplied to Server.getPortSync(). An attacker may execute code with the Node.js process privileges when an application forwards attacker-influenced, unvalidated input to this API.
mitigation
Upgrade @rsdoctor/utils to version 1.6.5 or later. Until upgraded, permit only integer port values from 0 through 65535 before calling Server.getPortSync().
fixed in 1.6.5
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
