CVE-2026-97380
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-625w-4hgq-qwmr ↗EUVD-2026-102924 ↗
description
MariaDB Server releases from 10.6.1 up to the relevant fixed maintenance release can apply incorrect authorization checks for certain GRANT PROXY operations. An authenticated low-privileged user who can identify another account may be able to change that account's password.
mitigation
Upgrade MariaDB Server to 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, or 13.0.2, as appropriate for the deployed branch. Restrict low-privileged accounts from issuing GRANT PROXY operations until upgrades are complete.
fixed in 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, 13.0.2
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
