description

Strong Testimonials versions through 3.3.11 can retain untrusted content that is later rendered as active browser code. An unauthenticated party can affect people viewing a submitted testimonial when public submissions expose custom fields named "platform" and "platform_user_photo".

mitigation

Remove or rename the public custom fields named "platform" and "platform_user_photo", or disable public testimonial submissions until an updated plugin release is deployed. Review existing testimonials submitted through affected forms and remove suspicious entries.
