CVE-2026-94483
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-cjq9-62q9-8jv4 ↗EUVD-2026-91671 ↗
description
Next.js applications using Image Optimization can be affected if images.remotePatterns allows a remote host whose DNS records are controlled by an untrusted party. An attacker may induce server-side requests to private network addresses through such an allowed image source. Applications without configured remote patterns are not affected.
mitigation
Upgrade next to 16.3.? or later.
fixed in 16.3.?
outcome
Mechanism verified: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one, but the server it ran against was ours, so no check ships for it.
source signals
