description

Affected sshd-core releases do not distinguish repeated keys during multi-key SSH authentication. An attacker with one authorized key may satisfy a policy intended to require two separate keys when that policy is enabled on the server.

mitigation

Upgrade org.apache.sshd:sshd-core to 2.20.0 or 3.0.0-M6, as appropriate for the release line. Until upgraded, do not rely on repeated public-key factors as independent authentication controls.

fixed in 2.20.0, 3.0.0-M6
