CVE-2026-92934
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-4xmw-hh9q-4q7c ↗EUVD-2026-81584 ↗
description
vm2 versions before 3.11.8 can fail to sanitize certain cyclic or repeatedly referenced host AggregateError objects passed into sandbox exception handling. A sandboxed attacker may escape the sandbox and access or execute actions with host-process privileges when an exposed host function throws a qualifying error that the sandbox catches.
mitigation
Upgrade the npm vm2 package to version 3.11.8 or later. Until upgraded, do not expose host functions to untrusted sandbox code if they can throw host-side AggregateError objects.
fixed in 3.11.8
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
