CVE-2026-92899
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-pw3c-6w58-28w4 ↗EUVD-2026-89798 ↗
description
Apache WSS4J's DOM WS-Security package can fail to recognize a previously seen UsernameToken nonce when its encoding is represented differently. An attacker who has captured a valid password-digest UsernameToken may replay it to submit requests until the token expires; deployments need both password-digest tokens and a configured nonce replay cache to be affected.
mitigation
Upgrade org.apache.wss4j:wss4j-ws-security-dom to 4.0.2, 3.0.6, or 2.4.4, as appropriate for your release branch. Restrict exposure of captured authenticated requests until the upgrade is complete.
fixed in 4.0.2, 3.0.6, 2.4.4
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
