description

WordPress User Registration & Membership plugin versions through 5.2.8 can process attacker-supplied content as registered shortcodes. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger this on restricted pages whose restriction message includes the referrer-URL smart tag.

mitigation

Remove the referrer-URL smart tag from content-restriction messages and restrict access to affected pages until patched. Upgrade to a vendor-maintained release that remediates the issue after confirming the release notes.
